Eli Wakamatsu - French Marie Claire Story

Eli Wakamatsu worked on this lovely 30 page (!) story for French Marie Claire with the fashion editor Mako Yamazaki and photographer Tiziano Magni and the results are beautiful.

The story was shot in Sweden over four days in May this year.  The first location was a privately owned, super stylish house with an infinity pool and view overlooking the river and quiet woodland. The architecture and décor was minimalist and urban and chosen particularly to create the interesting atmosphere for the story with the very different backdrop of the natural surroundings. The second part of the shoot was spent at the coast and the team were lucky to have amazing weather for the whole time.

The story was to show complete outfits from the collections of different designers which meant a different hair and make up look for each of the 30 shots. Eli used Sisley make-up  to achieve this starting with All Day All Year Essential day care to protect from UVA and UBV, free radicals and stress to the skin. Eli says that this is a “great product to set you up all day for any environment ”.

The model was (according to Eli “super lovely”) Anne-Marie Van Dijk at Viva Models  who also happens to be an enviromental campaigner and founded Pura Vida with another successful Dutch model Lonneke Engel, to raise awareness about eco-friendliness within the fashion industry.
