Introducing Anna Cofone - Hair Stylist

Me with Anna at The Coterie Event
I am delighted to now be representing the lovely hair stylist Anna Cofone.

Already cited as ‘One to Watch’ in Vogue online and featured in Vogue in November of last year (right), Anna is also an ambassador for Shu Uemura Art of Hair.

Interview with Adam Reed for The Coterie

Anna has also recently been interviewed by Adam Reed for The Coterie and there will be a feature on her in the next edition of Creative Head.

Anna worked on a great story published in the Guardian this weekend and was shot by the photographer Tomas Falmer who said, “Anna was great, really lovely and she did an amazing job so all good!”

After a recent meeting, Alison Bird  (The Wall Group in New York) said, “she is so lovely. I think she is obviously a developing talent… but I can see that she is going to be great.” And “she has a such a nice, easy personality.”... I couldn’t have put it better myself!

Here is a small selection of her work.

Please see more on the website: www.emmadavies.co.uk and take a look at her own blog through being resident stylist at Lost in Beauty where she is available by appointment.

Maria Comparetto's London Fashion Week Diary

London Fashion Week has been busy for Maria Comparetto. (Deep breath)... starting on Thursday, she attended the Triumph Fashion awards (with Matthew Williamson, Helena Christensen and Rankin judging).
Then it was on to the Cat Deeley/Links party at the Ivy Club then to Momos where she danced until her feet hurt!

Bright eyed and bushy tailed on Friday it was off to head a team from MAC on the Jayne Pierson in collaboration with Vogue Italia Presentation for London Fashion Week On/Off schedule.

To create the amazing graphic metallic eye, inspired by the colours used in the collection, Maria used the Mac ‘Hyacinth’ pencil to make the shape, pressed in ‘Deep Truth’ shadow to set then used ‘Naval Blue’ pigment powder to give a metallic finish to the eye. Maria said, “The trend this season is no mascara, this gives more impact to the graphic eye shape”.
Lips were blocked out using Mac ‘Dim’ then a light stroke of ‘High Tea’ lipstick was applied.
The whole look was a nod to the 80s with a fresh modern twist.

No surprise there was an excellent reception to the show and to Maria’s make-up. Maria herself had her eye on the gold structured shirt.

Apparently On/Off said they couldn't believe how organised the hair and make-up was backstage. I received a mail from the Jayne Pierson team to say that “Maria and team did such a good job, the lighting on the catwalk worked so well with the effects on the models faces.”

Drinks at "fashion week fashion strong" on Monmouth Street followed.

As a change to being behind the scenes, Maria was on the front row as a guest at the Matthew Williamson show on Sunday. A call time of 6am on the Mary Katranatzou show with Val Garland didn’t stop her from attending Matthew’s aftershow party at The Parlour @ Sketch until 2:30am. I don’t know how she does it! Next stop Milan…
